RACING with the STARS 5k, Sunday October 3, 2010, 9:00am sharp

Start / Registration Location: Lakeshore Athletic Club- Superior/Louisville Area

Entering its second year as one of the most unique running races around, this 5k race is a competitive race against YOUR clock. You pick the PACE time you want to beat and we introduce you to your STAR pacer for the day. (Times: 16 minutes- 31+minutes) if you beat your time, you receive a great gift at the finish. In 2009 we had over 12 Olympic Athletes, 3 World Champions and 2 TV personalities. So register now, pick your pace, and come out to run with the STARS….you never know who you’re gonna get!

* Experienced riders will experience hills and valleys throughout their ride.

**Beginner cyclist will     learn the rules of the road, bike care, set up, safety, gears, positions and experience a ride with at least 1 hill.

OUTDOOR Adventure Program

“Get Out And Play” will encourage its members to get fit and be active outdoors and expose you to new and different sports; perhaps, even one you’ve never tried before.  The program will also help you create friendships and memories with other members through positive experiences in the great outdoors.

Activities that could be offered throughout the year include:

Day hikes, snowshoeing, overnight backpacking, cross country skiing, alpine skiing and snowboarding, white water rafting, mountain biking, canoeing/kayaking, orienteering, golf, sailing, softball games, flag football games, ultimate Frisbee games, rock climbing, horseshoes, bocce.

MBT BALANCE CHALLENGE

mbtAn hour class in MBT physiological footwear activating stability and core muscles through balance, so you can recover from or prevent injury and stay active. Footwear is provided — first come, first served!
